Digital Health Check is Coming | Alannah & Madeline Foundation Skip to main content

At the end of June, eSmart will launch a new product aimed at testing and improving online safety and digital literacy – or “digital health” – for students in lower high school.

Digital Health Check uses a simple quiz to assess the digital health of students in Years 7-10. It then analyses their results to offer personalised recommendations, insights and tips, helping them to recognise their strengths and identify areas where they could benefit from extra support.

This new tool will empower students to:

  • Reflect on past behaviour to modify future actions
  • Make small changes to enhance wellbeing
  • Improve connections with others through better online behaviour

Designed by digital literacy experts and rigorously tested and co-designed with educators and students, Digital Health Check will integrate with existing eSmart resources and support young learners to foster a positive and self-aware digital experience.

The new platform will be launched on 24 June. Together with the resources on be.esmart.org.au, Digital Health Check will replace two long-standing eSmart programs, Media Literacy Lab and Digital Licence+.
