Her Excellency the Honourable Caroline Wells, Governor of Tasmania

I am honoured to continue the proud tradition of the Governor of Tasmania serving as Tasmanian Patron of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. The Foundation has a deep and enduring connection to Tasmania, born from the tragedy at Port Arthur and the determination to help children and young people live free from violence and trauma.

I am delighted to lend my support to the Foundation’s vital work supporting children and young people to be safe, strong and heard. Throughout my career in health, community service and governance, I have seen the importance of prevention, care and practical support for people at vulnerable times in their lives.

As Governor, I look forward to supporting this important work and honouring the Foundation’s Tasmanian legacy through continued patronage.
