What if…we authentically amplified youth voices while building their media literacy and critical thinking skills?

Exciting new program launching in Term 3

We are seeking interest from secondary schools to participate in meaningful Digital Youth Advocacy.

Who can apply?

We are looking for teams from schools Australia wide. A team is led by an educator and made up of any number of students across years 7-10.

The opportunity

  • In depth workshop with your team, covering:
    • Online safety perceptions and experiences
    • Advocacy- what is it and how is it done well
    • Choosing a theme and planning the project
  • Ongoing support over six sessions where your team ideates a solution/advocacy campaign. The sessions can be delivered flexibly according to your needs, over multiple weeks or in a hackathon style day.
  • Teams pitch their solution to a panel, with the chance to have it fully co-designed and brought to life with the help of a creative agency

The result

A wholly student-led digital advocacy solution, demonstrating the capacity for young people to create change in their communities.
