Mat Rowell

Mat is the Chief of Staff to Leader of the Opposition in Tasmania. Prior to this, Mat was the Capability Officer at Richmond Futures, a mental health recovery organisation. Mat has dedicated his career to the community services sector, with a strong focus on children, families, and social policy. Previously, Mat served as the CEO of Lady Gowrie Tasmania, Relationships Australia Tasmania, and TasCOSS.

A qualified social worker with postgraduate credentials in Community Sector Management, Mat is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an experienced board chair. He believes every child deserves access to the education, care, and support they need to reach their full potential.
