Mat Rowell

Mat is the Chief Capability Officer at Richmond Futures, a mental health recovery organisation. He has dedicated his career to the community services sector, with a strong focus on children, families, and social policy. Previously, Mat served as the CEO of Lady Gowrie Tasmania, Relationships Australia Tasmania, and TasCOSS.

Mat has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to two Tasmanian Premiers and Chief of Staff to the first Tasmanian Minister for Human Services. A qualified social worker with postgraduate credentials in Community Sector Management, Mat is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an experienced board chair. He believes every child deserves access to the education, care, and support they need to reach their full potential.
