Our Reconciliation Action Plan | Alannah & Madeline Foundation Skip to main content

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is firmly committed to actively participating in Australia’s journey to reconciliation and acknowledging our country’s true history.

We are proud to have launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2022. However, we also acknowledge that our journey has only just begun – we acknowledge that we have much to learn and many voices to listen to and guide us, so we can be the best allies, advocates and champions of First Nations children and young people.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Our vision for reconciliation is that awareness, acknowledgement and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures is part of everyday life in an equitable and inclusive Australia.

Our Reflect RAP provides a strategic framework to promote awareness and respect.

It will help us realise our vision and purpose in three key ways:

  • Promoting reconciliation internally and externally, celebrating all of the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures
  • Developing authentic relationships with Aboriginal people, organisations and communities
  • Strengthening our inclusive practices, and ensure our organisation, our services, and our programs are culturally safe.
