Our Executive Team

Sarah has held leadership and executive positions in the charity and for-purpose sector in Australia for the last 20 years, following a wide-ranging career in executive roles in tertiary education and private sector consulting in Australia and overseas.

In 2021 Sarah joined the Alannah & Madeline Foundation as the CEO. The Foundation works to make sure children can grow up safe, strong and heard – in both their online and offline worlds, free from violence, and with the support and strategies they need to thrive.

Sarah also serves on a range of Boards and committees.  Her current governance roles include Chair of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) Advisory Board, non-executive director of the Sisterhood Foundation, and Board Member of the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD).

Scott is an experienced chartered accountant and motivated leader who is passionate about making NGO dollars go further and creating high-performing organisations in the not-for-profit sector.

Scott has experience leading major cross-functional business projects, strategic planning, budget management and team building. He joined the Foundation so he could use his experience to make a difference in the lives of children.

With over 30 years’ experience, Ilkin brings deep expertise in trauma-informed practice, program design and organisational change across the family, community, mental health, disability and out-of-home care sectors.

She brings over a decade of executive leadership, delivering complex services, driving system-wide improvements, and designing innovative, evidence-based programs for vulnerable children and their families.

Ilkin is passionate about supporting staff, along with the children, young people and families they serve to feel safe, empowered and able to thrive. 

Amy is a fundraising and strategic communications professional with over 20 years of experience across the for-purpose, health and medical research, and education sectors.

In her role, Amy is responsible for connecting our wonderful supporters and the wider community with the work of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation so that together we can help children and young people live free from violence and trauma. She also leads the Foundation's work building a trauma-informed, inclusive and respectful culture where all staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and children and young people are safe, strong and heard.

Amy is passionate about supporting children and young people and disrupting the harmful systems that prevent children from reaching their full potential. 

Suzanne has more than 30 years’ experience in support roles for Executive Management Teams and Boards and has been working with the Foundation since 2012. Suzanne’s extensive experience has included roles within healthcare, tourism, large publicly listed organisations and the not-for-profit sector.

Within her role at the Foundation, Suzanne leads our governance, internal policy, and administrative functions. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role and is passionate about helping all children to thrive.
