Russell Yardley

Russell is a pioneer in multimedia and the Internet industries. He has a science degree and studied law at the University of Melbourne. IBM gave him a sound knowledge of computer technology, management and marketing. In 1985 Russell launched one of the first multimedia software companies in Australia.

Russell has been a frequent advisor to state and federal governments since the early nineties. In recognition of his contribution to the Australian ICT industry, he was elected as an Honorary Member of the Australian Computer Society in 2010.

Russell is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an investor, and is currently on the board of the Australian Research Data Commons Limited and invests in and provides governance to several technology start-ups.
